Wonderful World | Lost Lander

This is not a Louis Armstrong cover. This is a beautiful song by a band from Portland called Lost Lander, produced by Brent Knopf of Ramona Falls (formerly of Menomena).

The video, if I understand correctly, is a visual representation of prime numbers. It is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in a while.

Put this on your favorite HD screen, click into fullscreen, dim the lights and sit entranced for three and a half minutes.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

from the album DRRT by Lost Lander
produced by Brent Knopf.

I am so very impressed by this album. So far I’ve listened to three albums that are scheduled for release this year, and this is my favorite. I have a good feeling it will continue to be.

DRRT was released yesterday and can be streamed here http://lostlander.bandcamp.com/

Sitting, staring,
watching all you leave
behind this
There is nothing
which has so much more to give
I lost
I lost you

You’re putting down the memories
as if a nothing
has something more to give
I lost
I lost you

Who beats the clock for us?
Who was pretending us?
Don’t scoff to us

Still sitting, staring, watching
how love had to live
and no more things to give

I lost
I really lost you

I have been waiting for about a year and a half for this song to be released. FINALLY! I am so glad to hear it again.
